Exercise and skincare

Continuing our theme of looking after your skin (and because its January and many of us are looking to reverse some of the excesses of Christmas), we thought we’d explore the impacts of combining regular exercise with nonsurgical skincare treatments as an effective way to improve the health and appearance of your skin.

Most of us know now that exercise has numerous benefits for the body and mind. In addition, regular exercise can help to maintain a healthy weight and reduce the risk of weightrelated health problems.

The benefits of exercise are vast and varied, making it an important part of a healthy lifestyle. So how do exercise and skincare complement each other?

Increased blood flow

Exercise increases blood flow to all parts of the body, including the skin. This increased circulation can help to nourish and oxygenate the skin, giving it a healthy, glowing appearance.
